Cronies study the population dynamics of insects, plants, and occasionally other species that interact with plants or insects. Current research revolves almost entirely around butterflies and bees, and their interactions with species like wildflowers, viruses and humans.
Elizabeth Crone has also spent many years thinking about population dynamics of perennial wildflowers and mast-seeding trees, and still thinks about them from time to time.
